Julia St George was born in Newcastle upon Tyne and became a household name in the mid-19th Century. At the height of her fame, October 1854, Julia returns to make a guest star appearance at the Theatre Royal on Grey Street,
Waiting excitedly to meet & perform alongside her are local actresses, Fanny & Emily. How will the local actresses respond to her? And what calamitous event changes everything?
​Capturing life through the eyes of three actresses in 1854 Limelight is based on true events and characters. It’s a historic piece that resonates today. It is moving, comedic & relatable.
