Brigsteer New Year's Eve Ceilidh is back!
7.30 pm to just after midnight in the Village Hall on December 31st. Tickets £10.00, to include a welcoming drink of sparkling wine and a full evening's entertainment Dancing with caller Chris Bland, fun, games, and a chance to renew "auld acquaintances" Food will be Jacob's Join. There will be a list of items to choose from. Drink: It's a BYOB event. All welcome, singles as well as couples. Tickets from Alan Davies [email protected] (015395 68837) Our speaker, Maurice Steele, is a retired farmer from Eskdale who has combined sheep farming with a lifelong interest in photography and love of wild flowers. His presentation "It should have been stopped!" traces the evolution of the Lake District from its geological formation to the present day - a blend of brilliant photography and beautiful music, with commentary on man's impact on the landscape over the years and just a touch of good-natured humour. This is a treat not to be missed and again visitors are welcome to come along and enjoy the evening with us.
