Melanie is running the garden bric-a-brac stall at the open gardens this year and is hoping to collect an interesting selection of unwanted garden items - implements, ornaments, planters, furniture, gardening/plant books etc.
Smaller items can be left at Kell Cottage back door or in the parking space next to the garage at Kell Garth. Please feel free to email Melanie at: [email protected] to arrange collection of larger items. Brigsteer WI invite you to their next meeting which is open to all from 8pm on Wednesday 8th May in the Village Hall when we have Rebecca Corrie-close talking on 'The Importance of Biosecurity'
As well as being the new tenant of the National Trust farm at Lane End, Levens, and a director of the Horned Beef Company Ltd., Rebecca works for South Cumbria Rivers Trust and will be talking about her experience with invasive species in woodland and agriculture. Admission including refreshments £3. ‘BLODEUWEDD UNTOLD’ will be presented by Jo Blake (Cave) Thursday, 9 May at 7.30pm, in the Village Hall, Brigsteer.
