Just to flag up that there will be a decorate a pot (or two) evening at the village hall on Monday, 26th September, hosted by Deb & Andrew of PottyRoos of Morecambe, likely accompanied by a bit of banter, so please add the date to your diaries now.
Everyone is very welcome & I will send out a reminder, via Alan, nearer the date, but broadly it should be a very relaxing & enjoyable evening when you can choose from a selection of pottery to decorate, including teapots, jugs, cups, plates, planters, money boxes & many other shapes & paint whatever design takes your fancy. There will be a good selection of pots to choose from & all the paints & brushes will be provided. Your uniquely painted pot will then be glazed & fired by Deb & Andrew & delivered back to you. The total cost of travel to Brigsteer & back for Deb & Andrew of £25 plus the cost of hiring the hall of £14 plus the cost of a few nibbles will be divided among those attending. It will be a BYO drinks so maybe get together & share a bottle of bubbles. Pots will be individually priced and range between £6 & £30 which includes the pot, the paints & the glaze & firing. You will be able to pay for the pots you select by cash or card to Deb on the night. Please let me know (pls message me) if you are going to come along & how many friends you are bringing so I can confirm numbers to Deb & Andrew to make sure they bring plenty of choice of pottery & to make sure we have plenty of snacks. Should be a very enjoyable evening & maybe a chance to start organising that Christmas present list! Shelley Dates for your diaries. We have two highlights events in the autumn and will supply more details by the end of the month.
Thursday 17th November King of Egypt Sunday 4th December Sonrisa, a Latin band who I understand have performed in Brigsteer previously. Sorry for scant information at this stage but off on my holidays tomorrow, just wanted to ensure you saved the date. Many thanks Melanie |
