"SOLD" Kuumba Nia Arts A forgotten story giving one woman's first-hand account of brutality at the height of the slave trade. Powerful and entertaining, this Edinburgh award-winning show is based on the true story of the enslaved Mary Prince, told with traditional African Griot storytelling fused with theatre, singing, live drumming, poetry and dance. Winner of Best Ensemble Edinburgh Fringe 2019. ‘Every so often there is a piece that touches the soul. SOLD is one such show’ ***** Music Theatre Review https://kuumbaniaarts.com/ for more information. Tickets available on a first come first served basis from:
The Highlights website https://highlightsnorth.co.uk/ or Richard Griffiths on [email protected] or 01539568881 from 17th May. Highlights prefer booking via the website as this automatically acquires the Track and Trace data, avoids handling money, reduces any queues and makes refunds easy in case of cancellation; however there is a modest booking fee. Social distancing and booking conditions: Due to social distancing, we ask that you book for no more than six people, who are happy to sit together. At present we expect that members of the audience will need to wear a mask (unless exempt) during the show. If the weather is fine the interval will be taken outside where masks can be removed and a drink (bring your own) enjoyed. These regulations may change in line with government guidance at the time of the show and we will keep ticket holders updated. Hope to see you there John [email protected] Comments are closed.
