Our speaker, Maurice Steele, is a retired farmer from Eskdale who has combined sheep farming with a lifelong interest in photography and love of wild flowers. His presentation "It should have been stopped!" traces the evolution of the Lake District from its geological formation to the present day - a blend of brilliant photography and beautiful music, with commentary on man's impact on the landscape over the years and just a touch of good-natured humour. This is a treat not to be missed and again visitors are welcome to come along and enjoy the evening with us.
