Canadian Duane Forest takes us on an acoustic journey through the roots of reggae to the global influence of Bob Marley
The village hall AGM is to be held on the 10th August at 7.30pm; an agenda, a copy of last year's minutes and the accounts for 2025 will be sent out in due course. This meeting provides an opportunity for us to explain what has been done and what is planned for the hall and for you to understand the finances - it is a good news story! The formalities are kept to a minimum so there is an opportunity to ask questions. There have been many new arrivals in the village over the past year and it would be good to meet you.
It is important that the hall continues to meet local needs - if you have suggestions about what we could or should be doing, the AGM is an opportunity to let us know. It is also an opportunity to get more involved. We are always looking for help. Our board of trustees meets four or five times year. We are always keen to involve new people in the team. If you are interested please contact me here for more information - [email protected]. If being a trustee seems to be a big step, there are other roles we are keen to fill. For example we need assistance with our health and safety regime - there is a good process in place but we need someone to take over the management of it. Organising our programme of concerts is another role that needs support. Many of you will have attended activities at the hall over the past year but it only continues to work effectively if people engage and contribute- so please join us.
