Please note the new times for the tea shop for the coming year.
It will still take place on the 4th Tuesday of every month but the opening hours will now be from 3:00pm to 4:45pm
The first tea shop with the new hours will be on Tuesday 22nd January.
We have arranged a training evening to learn about and update our skills in cardiopulmonary resuscitation and the use of the defibrillator. Lauren Watson from North West Ambulance will lead the evening which will consist of a talk followed by 'hands on' training in the technique of CPR using resuscitation dummies.
The evening has been arranged primarily for the Village Emergency Telephone Service volunteers but is open to anyone who would like to attend as it is a skill that anyone of us could be called upon to use at any time.
The training is on Thursday evening 31st January at 8.00pm at the village hall
To give us some idea of numbers, could you please let us know by the end of next week if you would like to come. Reply to email@example.com
If we are over subscribed places will be allocated on a first come first serve basis.
The Tea Shop will be open in the Village Hall next Tuesday, December 18th from 2 to 4 pm. This is a week earlier than usual because of Christmas, and, because it's Christmas, in addition to the usual tea and delicious home-made cakes, there will be mulled wine and musical entertainment from members of the Brigsteer Band.
All welcome. Do come and join us for eats, drinks, and a chat.
Don't forget the Lyth Valley photographs will be on display in the village hall from 12.00 midday to 6.00pm.
Judging will take place at 5.00pm. Brigsteer WI will be running a 'tea shop' throughout the afternoon.
